NAIDOC Week Tool Making

  • Harvey Town Hall 102 Uduc Road Harvey, WA, 6220 Australia (map)

Noongar people made wood and stone tools and used different shaped tools for specific purposes. We are fortunate enough to be surrounded by the materials and resources needed to continue crafting tools and weapons such as spears, axes and carrying vessels.

This workshop will include an overview of traditional tools and a display of authentic artefacts. Attendees will learn the theory of how these tools were made using traditional methods and materials.

Learn how to craft traditional tools using bush resources.

This National NAIDOC Week Activity is funded by the National Indigenous Australians Agency.
